About the Author
Robert Burns is a professor of Computer Science at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California, where he teaches first and second year computer programming students, preparing them for further study in computer science, computer engineering, and related fields. Professor Burns designed the Programming Concepts series for first year programming students at the college. In addition to teaching, Professor Burns is a contract programmer and web programmer with continuous experience dating back to the 1970s.

Highly Recommended for beginning C++

It is made easy to learn C++ with this book. Exercises are given after each chapter, which helps retain what was learned after reading the chapter. Although some chapter review internet links are dead. You can still progress by researching the internet. I recommend this book for starting off in C++.

About the Author
Sena S. De Silva is a chairmember in the Aquaculture Department at Deakin University, Australia. He has over 25 years of experience in aquaculture and fisheries management. De Silva has had numerous articles published relating to aquaculture, in addition to co-authoring a text and editing many others. He is a founding member of the Asian Fisheries Society, serving on its council for nine years and is currently Editor-in-Chief of its journal.

Robert Gilmore is a lecturer in physics at Bristol University in England and has worked in particle physics at Brookhaven, Stanford, and CERN. His previous books are Alice in Quantumland and Scrooge's Cryptic Carol.

At Last!

At last the author of "Alice in Quantumland" has written another parody, mixing a well-known tale with modern quantum physics. My son enjoyed "Alice in Quantumland" when he was eight, and he will enjoy "The Wizard of Quarks" (based - loosely - on "The Wizard of Oz") now as a teenager. The books are quite charming and witty for adults, as well.

Sparks the imagination

I liked the book. It's Alice In Wonderland meets the world of Quantum Physics. The book reminds me of the Mr Tompkins books by George Gamow that I enjoyed reading when I was very young which helped me to understand the basics of quantum physics and quantum mechanics.

This book is entertaining, educational and sparks the imagination which inspires one to continue to study this subject. It covers such concepts as Planks constant, quarks, quantum tunneling, subatomic particles, and the uncertainty principle. A good read for people of all ages.

Gives me Hope!

Wow, that first review was incredibly harsh. I've read all of the other books/studies mentioned and more, and I found this to be excellent. Short, succinct, to the point, and gives me great hope. Sure there were a few typo errors, but that can happen with a first edition, and most of them were software translation issues. All one has to do is write the author, and corrections are made (and have been made). I appreciated the personal story, one that I could relate to, and both my husband and I appreciated the way that the nutrition plan is laid out in an easy to understand and doable manner. There's no need for shopping lists, millions of recipes or even any more validation of research; there's tons of info out there on the web and in books already. It becomes a personal approach with foods that you can find in your own local markets, foods that you enjoy to create your own simple meals. Healing foods are listed quite plainly as are the inflammatory ones. I've followed many other plans, but this one helps me understand the actual amounts of healing foods that I need and a few other points that are necessary for healing. It also helped me realize my own traps that I fell into previously that stalled my efforts. The work is up to me, and we're all different, but it's great to have a simple guide that spurs me on to keep striving for wellness. I loved celebrating the author's journey/success through her writings and her photos. How refreshing.

I feel like I've been given my life back

After 2 years of crushing fatigue I was diagnosed with active Epstein-Barr. I downloaded your book on Kindle and starting making Green Smoothies according to the plan in your book. I'm not sure how quickly it usually works but I knew after less than two weeks that I am completely healthy head to toe. I get stronger every day. I feel like I've been given my life back. I know this is early along to be sharing, but...you know when you are healthy again.
